I am a psychotherapist in Seattle, Washington working with adults and adolescents in individual and group therapy.
I believe that change is possible in the here and now, rather than in the past or future. Your present may be colored by painful past experiences which can keep you stuck in confusion, depression, defeating patterns and vicious cycles. These patterns and cycles can keep you from having meaningful, life-giving relationships with yourself and others. They can keep you from discovering your potentials and from pursuing your dreams. It is very human to get stuck in these unhelpful places, and it is also very human to need someone to come alongside you with a kind, listening presence, someone with whom you can safely explore your thoughts, fears, past traumas and your hopes without being shamed or made to feel as though you are "too much" or "not enough". A place where you can experience a different way of being in relationship, one that brings hope. A place where you can work through issues while coming to recognize and know your true self.
This place, this experience, is why I do psychotherapy and what I seek to offer to my patients. I am honored to participate in their journeys.
